Arecibo signs Aaron Harper, ex Huracanes- January 24, 2020
In 2004 Harper was drafted by Gary Steelheads (CBA) in second round (14th overall). The former University of Mississippi staris in his 16th (!!!) season in pro basketball. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Harper won Lebanese League championship title in 2016. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LPB Imported Player of the Year back in 2014 and 2015. Harper is quite experienced player. He has played in nine different countries on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Harper has played previously professionally in Argentina (Ferro and Quimsa), Bulgaria, France (Pau Lacq Orthez and Chorale de Roanne), Ukraine (Mariupol), Italy (Andrea Costa Imola Basket), Iceland (KR Reykjavik), Venezuela (Panteras, Marinos and Trotamundos), Lebanon (Al Riyadi and Sagesse) and Ecuador (Leones). It's very possible he may end his playing career at Arecibo. Harper could be described: A guard with good size ... Could also see time at small forward ... a very talented player ... An "old school" type player ... Has great range from the perimeter. Complete scorer inside and out. Total team player, Great three point shooter and nice midrange game. Athletic and can finish well in the paint. Hard match up for two guards because of his length and quickness, also a tough matchup for SF because of his quickness and guard skills. Defensively superior..gets a lot of steals and block shotsLed every team he has played for to championship. Winner on and off the court.. By Eurobasket Data Center
